I could not agree more with your comments on the weather and venue being secondary to the people, their relationships and interaction which is the most important consideration for a photographer to take advantage of.   In fact your photo-philosophy sums the whole subject up very well and is what impressed us when we first met you and discussed the possibility of you taking Caroline's photographs.

You have caught precisely what I think is necessary for successful photographs.

Photographers notes, and those truly professional moments that stay in the memory.

Every wedding can have those 'wild cards' that are unexpected regardless of the previous planning.
They require quick and flexible responses based on experience and skill so that they can be turned to advantage.

The unexpected surprise for me in this wedding was, that as many of the relatives had come over from France, it became easier to organise the photos in a mixture of English and French. The resultant 'Franglais' seemed to work quite well and everyone was both tolerant and amused which added to the enjoyment of the occasion.
